We're going to Swaziland Africa! We are continuously amazed and awed by how God has worked and is working in our lives. I know I shouldn't be surprised, but I think about when we were first married, and remember how we imagined ourselves going on missions. Yvonne working as a nurse, and Brian working as a pilot and 'jack of all trades', but God had other plans. He has trained us up, and given us skills in computers, and now we have the opportunity to serve Him by helping with the computer systems for TWR (Trans World Radio). If you want to learn more about TWR, start at their Canada website: http://www.twrcanada.org/ They are mission that broadcasts Biblical teaching by radio and other media all around the world in a myriad of languages, reaching people who would otherwise be unreachable by traditional methods. They transmit programs on the gospel, Christian discipleship, cooking, parenting, farming practises and other relevant and practical things that are appropriate for the target audiences. TWR is also been known to step out of the control room, and into the community to offer leadership classes, and discipleship training, as well as practical helps with basic needs in areas of famine or disaster. We first got involved with TWR a number of year ago when we moved to Yorkton by supporting the TWR Canada office through prayer and financial support. A few years ago, Brian had the opportunity to get to know Ray Allary – the President of TWR Canada – when he visited our church. Ray asked Brian if he'd be interested in doing some work with TWR, and this past year, we felt God was leading us to take this step of obedience. Our plan is to head to Swaziland at the end of April 2012, and return home to the farm at the end of May. A short trip to help out with some of their more urgent computer needs, and get a feel for the possibility of doing something like this with TWR on a regular basis. If you're interested in partnering with us in this ministry opportunity, we'd love to know you are praying for us. Prayer needs: That flights, travel arrangements, and other practical items will be in place for this trip. For health – that jet lag, food, and normal bugs and viruses would not affect us. For TWR – that the message would be heard and lives changed as a result. For the Lords wisdom and knowledge for us as we work on the computer systems there. It truly would be a blessing to have some help to get there. If you're interested in helping to support this ministry, TWR is a charitable organization, so you'll receive a tax receipt for charitable giving if you donate directly to them and designate it for us. Our major cost will be air fare. Our tickets will be around $2800.00 each. We'll have some power, heating, and food costs while there which should be minimal. We're estimating the whole trip will be about $7000.00 when all is said and done. If you'd like to support us this way, here's how: To make a credit card gift or pledge over the phone using your Master Card or Visa, you can call TWR in Ontario between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. EST. at 1-888-672-6510. You may also give your gift online at the website http://www.twrcanada.org or by mailing your cheque or money order to: Trans World Radio Canada PO Box 25324 London Ontario N6C 6B1 Please specify that your gift is for “Missionary Support for Brian and Yvonne Bueckert” We'll be keeping information and pictures related to this trip at http://www.bueckert.ca Please keep us in your prayers.
